GParted is my favorite open-source app ‘n its great to be able to install in on Windows 11 Beta.
They call it a Beta, but I haven’t seen any or had any problems wid it to this point. WSLg is even easier ‘n better now than when I wrote the – Installing Linux GUI apps under Windows 10 Windows Subsystem for Linux GUI (WSLg) – ’Da Novice Way!!! post back in early May.
I may grab half-dozen or so of these 2 PC Windows 10 Professional @ $12.29 a pair!? That’s a lot lower than URcdkey. GoDeal24 is new to me so I may test ONE first. Never had any problem wid the 5-7 I’ve purchased from URcdkey.
- Note: mainly for those w/ Windows 10 Home who would like to move to Windows 11 Pro, cheaply… 😉
Here’s GParted opened on one of the darker wallpaper choices:
Also need to decide which open-source Office suite to get…probably OpenOffice since it seems to be the stablest – see Office Suites ‘n Word Processors page for more info.
This is going to be a huge OS move into the future. Linux “Desktop” OS ‘n other Windows versions (with the exception of Windows 10 – has 4 more years) are going to be like owning a Black & White TV.
- Oh, OT – I reinstalled Fedora 34 on ‘Sam‘ this morning, to a Samsung 64GB memory card. Only have one 128GB memory card, but have three of the 64GB. 64GB’s is more than enough for Fedora 34.
LINUX IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES – you never know what you’re gonna get!
