Day after day I see Linux developers ‘n promoters falsely claiming that their Distro is totally protected from malware and viruses. Fact is, they either don’t have a clue or they are lying – see my *Linux Security Issues* page for more info.

Microsoft is giving Linux a significant security update

Linux and Android systems will be able to download Microsoft Defender ATP

Microsoft is hoping to boost its security protection for Android and Linux systems with a new release of its Defender Adavanced Threat Protection (ATP) app.

A public preview, or first version of Defender ATP for Linux and Android devices can be installed from today, giving users a welcome security upgrade.

Microsoft Defender ATP is a common presence on Windows devices around the world, offering a frequently-updated protection platform against a wide number of security threats.

Linux has had security issues for decades – they ignored them & it has finally caught up with them. After years of bashing Microsoft, it must be difficult to accept security help from Microsoft now, huh?
