The Linux Newbie – since 1996 blog started out as a blog on Linux, then I starting adding posts on computer components, on building computers, on basic system backup methods, etc.; thusly, change is nothing new for this blog. Originally planned on no politics, but the Chinese Coronavirus became such a *HOT* political topic that I had/have started reblogging posts from my old (2004) political blog, The Swamp Hermit’s Report. That blog originally had a different name, but I changed the name when moving from Blogger to WordPress in 2004. Forget how long I had the Blogger blog, maybe 2000 or 2001, but do recall Google starting to crackdown on that blog, after my political position changed soon after the September 11 terrorist attacks. I didn’t move all the former Blogger posts to WordPress, and sorta just thinned it down some. Kept the old blog, but changed settings to only “invited readers” could read it…over the years I lost the password to it, so haven’t bothered to check on it since then.

Will continue to reblog political content from my The Swamp Hermit’s Report blog, as I sorta make a slight ‘Merger’ … may also add more political Pages, but will primarily remain a blog on OSes, components, computers, and whatever.

Will also add this post to the ‘Progressions of the Linux Newbie Blog’ page as another point in the blog’s progressions. Have never paid much attention to any of my blogs stats, but visitor stats have steadily risen since last October…not sure why, but still lots of foreign visitors every day.
